Two decades ago, a 15-something boy, with an affinity for technology, realized the potential of the IT industry and convinced his family to start a web development company. The company we now know as Classic Informatics. 

On 2nd July 2002, the company was officially founded in New Delhi, India. 

And this date has always been special for all of us at Classic Informatics. And this year, we’ve hit a big milestone; the twenty years milestone!

Two decades of serving the IT industry and the heart of every Classicite is filled with pride and gratitude on the joyous occasion. 

We’ve certainly come a long way and are in no plans to stop anytime soon!

With several projects on the plate, an 80-90% customer retention rate, and a great team on board, we are all set to take on the world of digital next, transformation, automation, and next-gen solutions. 

Started by our CEO When He Was Just 16!

Yeah, you read that right!

Classic Informatics was established by our CEO, Mr. Rajiv Mehta, when he was just 16! A teenage boy, with a knack for technology. He had identified the potential that the IT industry had and the great things he could achieve through coding. 

This determination was enough to lead to the birth of Classic Informatics. And the rest, as we all know, is history!

Starting with a single web project in 2002, we have served over 500+ clients in the past 20 years.   We’ve always put hard work into every project that we’ve undertaken. There were several projects that required us to work days and nights on a stretch. Our team’s hard work and commitment to delivering on time helped us succeed.

From handling projects single-handedly to having project managers handle projects to now setting up PMO to standardize portfolio and project-related governance processes, we’ve certainly come a long way.   Consistency is what has enabled us to become a successful name in the industry. As a bootstrapped startup, we had to be consistent with the quality of work and our determination to make it. Being persistent means continuing on the path despite the innumerable obstacles and challenges thrown in the way. Our journey had been a rollercoaster ride that wouldn’t have been possible without being persistent.

  We knew from the very beginning that the tech world is all about innovating and expanding the technology stack. We had to keep adding to our expertise to stay relevant in the industry. And that’s what we did. We started with technologies of the time and kept adding to the stack. Today, we are also focusing on next-gen technologies like serverless, RPA, low-code, no-code, MarTech, APIs, process automation, and more.

  We have been developing all types of software, mobile applications, digital products, and more for the past 20 years. Our expertise changed from developing simple websites, and business & technical applications to now delivering mission-critical technology platforms for enterprises that can be used by thousands of users across the globe.

  We have grown over the past years and now have clients in over 30 countries across the globe. We have always been thankful to our customers who entrust us with their projects and let us serve them better. 

  

• #20 Years Of Expanding Globally

  We started with a small office in Delhi. In a few years, we opened our first brand in Chandigarh. By 2013, we had our first ever international sales office opened in the heart of London. Cut down to 2017, we cut the ribbons for our next branch in the island continent of Australia in Sydney. Today, we have offices in three continents and are even serving clients globally across 30+ countries. 

  

• #20 Years Of Being Socially Responsible 

  We have always believed in giving back to the community and being socially responsible. From the very beginning, we have been making donations to different NGOs, social groups, orphanages, and other similar organizations. Even during the pandemic, we pledged and made donations worth 1.5 lakhs, and then 3 lakhs every month for those affected, frontline workers, and more. 

  

• #20 Years Of Fun

  We believe in working hard while also having fun. Over the years we’ve had countless celebrations. Be it our quarterly chit-chats, New Year celebrations, month-end birthday celebrations, or festival celebrations for Diwali, Women’s Day, Holi, Independence Day, Lohri, and more. These celebrations are always filled with fun games, activities, lucky draws, and more to help us know each other better and grow a stronger bond as a team. We’ve also had several company outings, offsites, and trips, the memories of which will always be etched in our hearts. 

  

• #20 Years Of Growing As A Family

  We started with just 10 members working together in a small cubicle in Delhi. Today, we have a team of 200+ members spread across three continents. We have teams located in India (Gurugram and Chandigarh), Australia (Sydney), and England (London). We’ve grown as a family and every one of us has a share in the success of Classic Informatics.

  As an organization, we were always clear that employee appreciation is the key that will drive retention and value. We have always been appreciative of our employees from the very beginning. Whether it is offering quarterly awards to the best performers or identifying their work and appreciating them in terms of promotions, appraisals, and more, we’ve always been very vocal about it. With time, we also launched new awards for the bright beginners who delivered exceptional results in the first quarter of joining. Additionally, we also kept enhancing the value of gifts that we provide to keep them motivated to deliver better results.

  We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the last 20 years of doing business. We have loved the rollercoaster that these past years have been for us. The obstacles that the digital world threw at us, challenging projects, and much more. But what we enjoyed the most was the joy and satisfaction of delivering projects that our clients loved.

So, where are we now?

Well, it’s safe to say that we are no longer a “startup”.

We have proven ourselves in the niche and have had some great clients connected with us for many years. Apart from that, we have been adding new clients every year and delivering better than before. As we’ve grown, both in terms of our team members and clients, we have promised ourselves to deliver better and empower our clients to take on the digital next!
