Education is the most powerful weapon for changing the world. However, millions of orphans and destitute are deprived of education especially computer. Though Information Technology has changed and touched every aspect of life, it is still confined to the urban populace. Rajiv Mehta, CEO of Classic Informatics, believes that if we are to become IT driven country, the benefits of Information Technology should reach to orphans and destitute as well. But many NGOs or Orphan Homes can’t afford to buy PCs for their classrooms as they need to fulfill basic needs of sheltered children.
Keeping this in mind Classic Informatics decided to celebrate ‘Joy of Giving’ week with visit to Ashiana Children’s Home. Under this initiative, we handed over 25 used PCs to Ashiana Children’s Home where around 50 under-privileged and orphans are not only given shelter but education too. Children will benefit from these computers by gaining basic information technology skills and securing employment opportunities for them.
We really admire the work of Ashiana Children’s Home in the community and their diligent efforts to improve the world around us. We are honored to present them with this contribution and hope that it will help to provide them with the resources they need to continue their endeavors.
It is our aim to spread computer literacy to transform the lives of Orphaned and destitute children.
ClassiCities are enriched with the ‘joy of giving’ experience.
