Calling Diwali just the festival of light would probably be an understatement. It is one of the most popular and anticipated festivals in India. Everyone eagerly waits for this festival to arrive and its celebrations kickstart weeks before the actual day. The markets get decked up, homes start getting a makeover, and everyone gets drowned in the festive mood.

At Classic Informatics, we had one of the most exciting Diwali celebrations this year. The preparations for the function began over a month ago. We wanted the celebration to be something that everyone in the Classic Informatics family could look back on with an ear to ear smile. It is our culture to imbibe the joyousness of each festival into our office and celebrate it with our office family.

Our office was decked up with fairy lights that made the entire place illuminate. Everyone was in a festive mood from the morning itself. They were all dressed up in colorful festive clothes that reflected the vibrancy of this festival. While our ladies could be seen in gorgeous sarees, suits, and gowns, men were not far behind. They chose ethnic kurtas and sherwanis for the occasion. The entire place looked livelier than before and we just couldn’t wait for the Diwali celebrations to get started. And as the clock struck 04:30, we all assembled together to start the festivities.

Chit-Chat Session

We clubbed our quarterly Chit-Chat session with the Diwali bash this year. All the new members at Classic Informatics were introduced to the entire family.

Awards & Accolades

The chit-chat was followed by some appreciation time. This session saw the management appreciating the Star performers. We believe that appreciation is the best form of motivation. Be it to appreciate the hard work of the Best Performers or the dexterity with which our new teammates performed to win the Bright Beginners award, awarding their hard-work is something we follow.

Group Talent Hunt

Once everyone had introduced themselves, we went on to the next and most exciting part of our Diwali celebration. Each team of our Classic Informatics family was asked to prepare a small performance for the day. It could be a skit, dance, medley of songs, a nukkad natak, or anything that they like. Each team surprised us with their talent. There was dance, songs, fashion shows, and many skits. Some plays touched our emotional chords, others made everyone laugh out loud, quite literally.

In the end, a tear was there in everyone’s eye; be it a tear caused by the outburst of emotions or a tear of laughter.

Appreciating Talent

Talent never goes unappreciated at Classic Informatics. We had awards for the teams that performed the best. Next, we also had awards for the team with the best Groupfie. All the teams looked spectacular in the pictures. Their talent and innovation in clicking pictures were quite visible in each of the shots.

Spreading Joy

What is Diwali without gifts and sweets? It is a tradition in Classic Informatics to spread happiness to each of its team members by gifting them a surprise on the day. The seniors came forward and distributed the sweets and gifts to everyone. The pics show the smiles that this brought on each face. Snacks were also distributed to everyone in the end and that was a wrap. The entire celebration was far beyond our expectations.

A special thanks to our HR team for organizing such a great program and making everyone feel like a home on this festive occasion. We also appreciate each member of the Classic Informatics family for participating in the celebration and making us feel like a big but closely-knitted family.
